SFI Group is considering buying parts of Greenalls and it is thought to be among the bidders for Rank’s Tom Cobleigh chain.
It is willing to spend £100m-£200m on acquisitions.
It intends to open 20 new branded outlets this year taking it to 36 Litten Trees and 22 Bar Meds. It is considering selling its three For Your Eyes Only lap-dancing venues for possibly £14-£20m. It is said to be particular interested in Greenalls’ Squares bars and Millers Kitchen food pubs if Greenalls opts for a break-up.
