SFX Entertainment has paid £157m-£162m for Apollo Leisure Group’s 23 theatres in London and other cities.
They include the Dominion, the Lyceum, the Apollo Victoria and Hammersmith in London and the Opera House, the Palace Theatre and Apollo Theatre in Manchester, the Playhouse in Edinburgh, the Hippodrome in Bristol, the Empire in Liverpool, the International Arena in Cardiff and the Sheffield Arena.
London theatres currently up for sale could fetch £120m, reports the Financial Times. It says Stoll Moss would fetch up to £100m and Quintain Estates Development’s Crescent £20m. Combined, they make up nearly half the theatres in London’s West End.
