A derelict estate in Manchester’s West Gorton district, made famous by Channel 4’s Shameless, is to be redeveloped.
The 900-flat Chatsworth Estate will be replaced with new homes, a health centre, shops and educational facilities by the North East Manchester urban regeneration company.
