Shed developers are going head to head for 27 acres of land at Derbyshire’s £35m Denby Hall Business Park.
Rosemound, Gladman, Stoford Developments and Chase Commercial are all expected to table bids this month, which could push the sale price well over £4m. ProLogis considered the site, but has decided against bidding.
The 54-acre park, which could support 1m sq ft of shed space, is being developed by UK Coal’s property arm, Harworth Estates.
Harworth will retain 10 acres for a mix of speculative space and prelets.
Denby Hall is in the A38 corridor, 8 miles north of Derby, and close to another industrial hotspot, the M1’s junction 28.
