Sheikh Tahnoon bin Zayed al-Nahyan has been appointed chair of the $790bn Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, the main sovereign wealth fund of the United Arab Emirates’ capital.
He replaces as chair of Adia the late Sheikh Khalifa, the former UAE president, who died last year.
The mixed-use scheme is expected to support 2,500 jobs once complete
The site holds hybrid planning consent for 1,493 homes, 475 hotel beds and 31,000 sq ft of commercial space
