Qatari Diar and Canary Wharf Group today unveiled new images of the planned redevelopment of the Shell Centre on London’s Southbank.
The sketches were revealed ahead of a major consultation next week as the joint venture developers look to finalise their masterplan.
Full plans for the site are likely to be submitted later this year ahead of a planned start on site in the fourth quarter next year.
The developers hope to deliver 800 flats and around 500,000 sq ft of commercial office space, together with retail and public realm improvements.
The fourth round of consultation workshops will take place on the 24 and 25 July at the Shell Centre, where the developers will provide the local community with an update on the progress of the masterplan, including the first computer generated images of the scheme.
Squire & Partners was appointed to masterplan the site earlier this year.
It is working alongside architects including KPF, Grid, Patel Tayor and Stanton Williams.
