Confectionery manufacturer Sherriffs of Kingsbridge has taken a 2,230 sq m (24,000 sq ft) unit at Salmon Harvester Properties’ Exe Distribution Park, Exeter, in the city’s first pre-let for years.
Sherriffs will pay £53.82 per sq m (£5 per sq ft) on a 25-year lease with no break clauses or incentives. It will use the space for an office headquarters and manufacturing base.
Salmon director Doug Stewart said: “This is the first prelet in the Exeter area for some considerable time and it is a sign that the property market in the West Country is picking up.”
Chestertons and Knight Frank acted for Salmon while Husseys represented Sherriffs.
