The election result could mean uncertainty for the housing market in the short term, Crest Nicholson chief executive Stephen Stone said.
However, the new-build housing market is expected to remain robust, he said, helped by strong employment, low interest rates and good mortgage access.
The company said pretax profit had risen 5%, while forward sales were 4% higher on the year at £540.4m.
