A shortlist of four has been named for the next stage in the redevelopment of London’s South Bank.
The four architectural practices are
- Jeremy Dixon Edward Jones
- Michael Hopkins & Partners
- Rick Mather & Associates
- Office for Metropolitan Architecture
Chelsfield’s Elliott Bernerd is chairman of the South Bank board and the selection panel. He said that the four bring ‘a strong balance of different talents to the process’ and that they will be briefed in more detail on key elements of the masterplan.
A final decision will be announced at the beginning of May and a programme of public consultation will begin in summer.
