Showcase Cinemas are to operate a 14-screen multiplex cinema at Amec’s Castle Gate Park in Dudley.
Contracts with the new tenants have just been signed and work will begin on the new 5,109 sqm (55,000 sq ft) cinema in the spring. On completion it will have 3,000 seats and is expected to have an end investment value of some £8m.
Showcase will be joining Greenalls Hotels, Punch Taverns, Big Steak Pub, Wacky Warehouse and McDonalds who have already signed up for space on the 11,148 sqm (120,000 sq ft) leisure element of the park.
The 19-acre(7.69ha) Castle Gate also includes 24,154 sqm (260,000 sq ft) of office space on a business park adjacent to the leisure scheme.
