German electronic firm Siemens is on the search for a new headquarters in Greater Manchester.
It has appointed CBRE to look for 60,000 sq ft of office space with the view to relocating closer to the CBD.
The firm currently occupies the 88,700 sq ft Sir William Siemens House on Princes Road, at Didsbury Technology Park, where it has been based since moving from Frimley, Surrey, in 2019.
Last year, the office was sold to Northern Group in an £8.9m deal, with two years remaining on Siemens’ lease. It is understood that after the building is vacated, Northern Group intends to reimagine the site and enhance its design, efficiency and ESG offering.
A spokesperson from Siemens told Estates Gazette: “We have instructed CBRE to advise on new office locations for our headquarters, and this includes a range options across Greater Manchester.”
