Siemens signs for St Modwen’s Teal Park

Siemens has signed up for a major new facility at St Modwen’s Teal Park in North Hykeham, Lincoln.

The electronics group plans to move into a bespoke 127,000 sq ft building on the 74-acre park, which is located on the outskirts of the city.

The move would be a consolidation and expansion for Siemens and its 540 staff, currently housed at the firm’s Waterside South premises in the city.

The site will have both office and workshop facilities and will provide room for further future expansion. Siemens has another 900 employees in other locations in Lincoln.

Stephen Prosser, regional director (Yorkshire) at St Modwen, said: “We have spent a considerable amount of time working with Siemens to understand their expectations with regard to their new facility and we now look forward to continuing this relationship and working closely with them with respect to delivering the new premises at their chosen location.”

Located next to the A46 Lincoln bypass, Teal Park has consent for a mix of uses including: offices, retail, a hotel, public house, leisure centre and showrooms.

Work will start on site in mid-2011, with completion due in summer 2012.
