Singapore hotel is urban winner

A 16-storey Singapore hotel featuring terraced gardens inspired by rice paddies has been named as the winner of the Council on Tall Buildings urban habitat award.

The 367-bedroom Parkroyal on Pickering, designed by WOHA Architects and developed by Pan Pacific Hotels, was selected ahead of finalists including the Chatswood Transport Interchange in Sydney; D’Leedon in Singapore; the Jing An Kerry Centre in Shanghai; and the Tour Carpe Diem in Paris.
