Singaporean fund manager sets sights on £40m UK equity raise

IP Investment Management wants to boost its UK real estate investment by more than a half over the next 12-18 months.

The Singaporean real estate investment manager is opening a London HQ at 10 Orange Street, WC2, in Haymarket.

Investor relations director Jason Lamb has relocated from Singapore to lead a team of three, aiming to connect with existing and new non-Asian clients and fundraise for new private equity real estate funds.

The company has assets under management of £220m in the UK and wants to raise up to £40m over the next 12-18 months.

IPIM has invested in the UK since 2013 with a focus on value-add and opportunistic investment strategies in the living sectors, including purpose-built student accommodation and build-to-rent.

It recently launched IPIM UK Student Living LP, targeting four UK PBSA investment opportunities for a five-year fund life, for which it is now raising funds.
