Care home developer Castlemead has secured planning at two brownfield sites in two weeks for new care homes.

The developer has been granted planning approval for a 40,000 sq ft, 75-bed nursing home in Buxton, Derbyshire, (pictured) valued at £6.5m, to be built on the former Haddon Hall site.

It has also gained consent to build and develop another nursing home at Thirlestaine Hall, in the centre of Cheltenham. The 34,000 sq ft, 63-bed site holds a project value of £6.5m.

The Buxton and Cheltenham care homes will be operated and managed by care home company Porthaven.
