1-Colmore-Square.jpegThe Irish Bank Resolution Corporation is poised to bring the 203,000 sq ft office tower at 1 Colmore Square in Birmingham to market for around £30m.

A shortlist of six agents have been invited to pitch for the sale instruction on the 11-year-old building, located opposite Snow Hill Station in the heart of the city’s central business district.

Those shortlisted are Knight Frank, Savills, JLL, CBRE and GBR Phoenix Beard.

Current tenants include Ernst & Young, Martineau Johnson and DTZ.

Law firm Cobbetts formerly occupied 44,000 sq ft in the building prior to the company’s 2013 pre-pack administration and subsequent rescue by rival DWF.

Anglo Irish bought the building for £90m in 2004 from developer Richardson Barberry Properties.

According to GVA, £670m of investment deals totalling around 3m sq ft were transacted in Birmingham city centre in 2014, with signs that -momentum has continued into 2015.

Last week, Aviva appointed Savills to sell Rutland House at 148 Edmund Street for £30m – a 5.75% yield.
