Slade and Kelly get go-ahead for Nottingham scheme

Trinity Square, the £75m Nottingham scheme by Mike Slade’s and Jim Kelly’s Overton developments, has been given the green light.

Designed by architect Haskolls, it covers two island blocks totalling 2.25 acres (0.9ha) adjacent to the Cornerhouse leisure complex.

It will accommodate 200,000 sq ft (18,580 sq m) of shops, 50,000 sq ft (4,645 sq m) of leisure and 120,000 sq ft (11,148 sq m) of apartments and student flats.

The north block (pictured) will house retail and 500 student flats. The south block comprises retail and a London Clubs International casino.

Meanwhile, Helical’s joint venture with Oswin Developments has bought the 11-acre (4.5ha) Low Level Station site in Wolverhampton, from Next Generation Clubs for £30m.

Plans are for a 100,000 sq ft (9,290 sq m) leisure scheme
