Slough announces series of lettings at Heywood park

Slough Estates has announced more than 180,000 sq ft of lettings at its Heywood Distribution Park in Greater Manchester.

Italian domestic appliance manufacturer Indesit has agreed to take 41,400 sq ft in a 12-year deal rumoured to be worth around £150,000 pa.

Additionally, fashion and homewares retailer Next has extended its presence, adding 141,400 sq ft to its regional distribution centre at the scheme on a short term three-month lease.

Next signed for an initial 500,000 sq ft at Heywood last April.

Kevin O’Connor, director of Slough Estates, said: “Clearly, we are extremely pleased to have secured a deal of such significance.

“Indesit is a household name and its association with Heywood Distribution Park can only add to the park’s reputation on a national and even European basis.

“Equally, we’re delighted to have been able to accommodate Next’s expansion within the park.”

Slough purchased the scheme from Moorfield last July as part of a £276m portfolio comprising of two estates.

King Sturge and Savills are letting agents.
