Slough Estates has announced that Nigel Rich will be joining the board as a non-executive director and chairman designate on 1st July 2006.
Current chairman Paul Orchard-Lisle will retire from the Board on 1st October 2006, at which point Rich will become chairman.
Currently a non-executive director of KGR Absolute Return PCC and of Pacific Assets Trust, Rich was chairman of Exel, until he stepped down December 2005.
Rich has gained extensive property experience through time at Hongkong Land and Hamptons.
Paul Orchard-Lisle said: “I am delighted that Nigel Rich will be joining the board and that he will succeed me as chairman of the company.
“It is good news that as Slough Estates enters the next exciting phase in its development it will be chaired by a businessman with Nigel’s breadth and depth of experience, both in the UK and internationally.”
