Slough buys Dusseldorf logistics site for €19m

Slough Estates International (SEI) has acquired a 30 hectare (74-acre) logistics site in to the West of Düsseldorf, Germany, for a phased purchase of €19.05m (£13m).

It plans to deliver 117,000 sq m (1.3m sq ft) of light industrial and logistics accommodation in six buildings in a “low density environmentally sensitive scheme.” The site is close to the A44 motorway, and is one of the few viable sites close to Düsseldorf.

SEI general manager in Germany, Dr Udo Titz, said: “We are extremely pleased to have acquired this prime site for a logistics platform and look forward to developing out a first class logistics scheme.

“We believe this acquisition complements our existing portfolio and development pipeline.”
