US burger chain Smashburger has appointed Cushman & Wakefield to initiate its debut into the UK market.
The burger chain is looking for sites and plans to open 35 restaurants over the next two years.
Known for its unique cooking method of smashing beef onto a hot grill, the chain has more than 300 sites across the US.
The news comes as burger chain Byron has announced plans to open ten sites every year, and MeatLiquor is opening its sixth site in Bristol this year.
Managing director Tim Lowther, who also launched Five Guys in the UK, said: “The fast casual dining market is yet to reach its potential and there is most definitely an exciting long-term future ahead with huge potential for brands such as Smashburger.”
