Budget gym operator Snap Fitness has announced plans to open between 75 and 100 clubs in the UK over the next five years.
The US-based company, which runs contract-free membership clubs that are open 24-hours a day, is targeting 10 clubs in Greater London by the end of the year. It will open its first facility in Sittingbourne, Kent, next month, followed by one in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, in June.
Bidwells has been instructed to find the operator locations of between 2,500 sq ft and 5,500 sq ft in both basement and upper floors.
The budget gym market has blossomed over the past few months. Easy Gym plans to open 10 clubs annually from this year and Pure Gym recently raised £15m to expand the business by 45 sites by the end of the year.
