Social media start-up Snapchat is in advanced talks to lease a new London headquarters in Soho.
The temporary picture and video messaging service is close to agreeing a deal to lease the whole of Columbia Threadneedle’s 12,260 sq ft 7-11 Lexington Street, W1. Quoting rents are £77 per sq ft. Snapchat selected the building ahead of shortlisted options including 12 Golden Square, W1.
The $15bn (£10bn) company is among the fastest growing tech start-ups in the world and is working on plans to float on the stock market next year. Edward Charles and Partners acted for Columbia Threadneedle; JLL advised Snapchat.
