Sock Shop is looking for new ways to raise funding after long-term backers indicated they want to get rid of the investment.
Parent company Tulchan Group has circulated details of its stores to venture capitalists and rival retailers. The companys assets include 95 Sock Shop stores, 150 Jumper shops and Tulchan wholesale premises.
Possible buyers include Knickerbox and Tie Rack.
