The Sock Shop is preparing to merge with Tie Rack. A merger of the two would create one of Britain’s leading niche retailers with sales of nearly £100m.
Tie Rack has 446 outlets in 30 countries with losses of £4.3m on sales of £43.7m.
The Sock Shop, owned by Tulchan Group, has 79 UK outlets and 14 overseas.
