Soho House speeds up openings as revenue rises

Soho House has said it will speed up new openings as sales outperform pre-pandemic levels for the first time.

The chain of private members clubs said “unprecedented demand” for membership would prompt the business to open nine new Soho House venues this year and then between eight and 10 annually.

Sites in locations including Balham, south London; West Hollywood, California; and Mexico City are among those slated to launch this year. Total membership increased by 6% in January and February, according to the company, which opened new Soho House venues in Nashville, Tennessee and Brighton.

Revenue at Membership Collective Group, the parent company, increased by 158% to $184.5m (£140m) in the three months to 2 January, shy of analysts’ forecasts of about $187.9m. Net losses fell from $72.5m to $41.9m.
