Soho House has teamed up with “junk bond king” Michael Milken to launch a new branch of The Ned in Washington DC.
The Ned, which has branches in London, New York and Doha, will be on the top three floors of a revamped former bank headquarters on Pennsylvania Avenue, next to the grounds of the White House.
It is to be housed in a larger complex, comprising six buildings connected via an underground walkway, owned by the Milken Institute, a non-profit organisation.
The total project will cost more than $1bn (£785m) by the time it opens next year.
