Soho’s famous Windmill strip club is seeking a new life as a theatre.
Plans to restore the landmark building as a theatre and recruit famous people to its committee will be discussed by Westminster city council on Thursday.
The venue was once famous for its nude tableaux, immortalised in the Judi Dench film Mrs Henderson Presents, but fell into decline after years as a lapdancing club when it lost its licence in 2018.
