Moray council’s planning committee has given the go-ahead for plans to build Scotland’s largest solar farm.
A starting date for the project has not been given, but once completed the site – located northeast of Elgin – could provide enough power for as many as 10,000 homes.
The planning permission will run for 30 years from first delivery of power from the site, followed by a 12-month period during which the solar farm will be decommissioned.
