Carluccio’s is to make its debut in Solihull, West Midlands, at IM Properties 747,000 sq ft Mell Square shopping centre in the town centre.
The Italian restaurant chain has taken a 3,444 sq ft unit on the ground floor of a new four-storey building, situated on the corner of High Street and Drury Lane, that will be a new gateway to the scheme.
The new building is being developed as part of IM Properties’ ongoing redevelopment of the Mell Square, and will be completed by the end of the year
A 25 year lease has been agreed. Rents were undisclosed.
IM won planning consent earlier this year to demolish two existing units and build the new 12,626 sq ft mixed-use building, with three floors of grade A offices above the restaurant.
Rob Hemus, asset manager at IM Properties, said: “The combination of this new restaurant space and the grade A offices above is a perfect statement of our intent for Mell Square.”
