Knightsbridge Student Housing has received planning consent for student halls on the site of the NCP car park in Back of the Walls, Southampton.
The eight-storey, £22m scheme will include 358 flats, along with a café on the ground floor.
Work is set to start on the site in spring and will be completed by summer 2016.
Simon Pollitt, acquisitions director of Knightsbridge Student Housing, said: “We are delighted to be working in Southampton which we believe to be a major university city; it has been a target for the Student Housing Company for a number of years. This development will complement a sister scheme already under construction in St Marys Road.”
