Southwark Council has approved Notting Hill Genesis’ plans to develop 614 homes in phase 2B of the Aylesbury Estate regeneration.
The approved plans alter from the initial 2015 Aylesbury Estate masterplan and now include a range one- to five-bedroom homes across five buildings ranging from five to 26 storeys.
Out of the 614 homes in phase 2B, 50% will be affordable homes, 75% of which will be offered for social rent and 25% for shared ownership. The scheme also includes 43,000 sq ft of open space and 35,000 sq ft of play space.
Phase 2B has been designed by lead architect Maccreanor Lavington alongside plot architects Haworth Tompkins, Sergison Bates, East and Architecture Doing Place.
The scheme forms part of a wider masterplan to deliver 3,500 new homes, is due to be completed by 2036.
