Developer Sowden Group is lining up plans for a 387-home build-to-rent scheme at a riverside location in Leicester.
Staniforth Architects has drawn up initial plans for the development which comprises two residential blocks, one rising to 16 storeys and containing 251 homes, and another 10-storey building with 136 student beds.
Sowden has lodged a scoping request for an environmental impact assessment for the site, which is located at Braunstone Gate on the Old River Soar to the south west of the city centre.
A planning application was lodged in December and is currently awaiting validation with Leicester City Council.
In 2017, Sowden teamed up with Long Harbour to deliver 297 homes in the centre of Leicester in a forward-funding deal worth £43m.
The city has since seen further BTR schemes from Edmond de Rothschild REIM and Watkin Jones, as well as the conversion of a former Debenhams into 350 flats by retail giant Hammerson.
