Spacemade has signed management agreements for two new flexible workspaces in Fulham Broadway, SW6, and Wandsworth, SW11, taking its total number of premises to 14.
The London-based flexible workspace operator has taken 10,000 sq ft of space with capacity for 150 members in Fulham Broadway in a repurposed former JD Wetherspoon pub. The location is due to launch in May.
The company has also taken 13,000 sq ft in a development at 1 Armoury Way, within walking distance of Old York Road in Wandsworth. The building, which is rated EPC A and BREEAM Excellent, has a capacity for 200 members and will offer communal terraces, gym facilities and Zoom rooms.
Both locations are second deals with existing Spacemade landlord partners – CBRE Investment Management and a private investor – and are also repeat business with the group’s existing partner, Wittington Investments.
Dan Silverman, co-founder of Spacemade, said: “Occupiers want flexibility, less space but of the highest quality with a strong hospitality offer, which is what we are enabling landlords to provide.”
He added: “This connected portfolio offers the flexibility that occupiers demand in a hybrid working world.”
Louisa Butters, head of UK retail asset management at CBRE IM, on behalf of Fulham Broadway, said the plans are “part of a long-term strategy for the destination” that aims to “appeal to businesses looking for a new style of space” that creates a sustainable hub for office workers.
Spacemade currently operates 100,000 sq ft of flexible office space across the UK. It has a target of opening 50 new flexible workspaces across the UK in the next three years and has another 100,000 sq ft in the pipeline.
