Leicester is to see its first out-of-town speculative office development of more than 10,000 sq ft for over a decade.
Fledgling developer Marlborough Property Group has unveiled plans for two grade A office blocks totalling over 34,000 sq ft at the 63-acre Watermead Business Park at Syston in north Leicester. Marlborough One is a 22,480 sq ft building, while Marlborough Two extends to 11,790 sq ft of office space.
Marlborough hopes to attract requirements from the greater East Midlands area for regional headquarters.
The building could be let either as a whole or multi-let. Rents of around £17 per sq ft will be sought.
Work will start on site later this month, with completion expected in summer 2015.
Lambert Smith Hampton has been appointed letting agent.
