St James Securities is to develop the first speculative office building in Leeds city centre for three years.
Work will start later this month on the 2,800 sq m (30,000 sq ft) 1 Wellington Place after a section 106 agreement was finalised. The building is part of a 2ha (5 acre) office scheme on the 10.1ha (25 acre) Hermes Estate in the west end of Leeds.
The 27,000 sq m (300,000 sq ft) development will include four office buildings, a multi-storey car park and supporting leisure units.
DTZ Debenham Tie Leung and Knight Frank are joint letting agents.
