“Could do better” was the conclusion after Hartnell Taylor Cook’s Bristol auction last week, according to auctioneer Ian Lambert.
The sale of 59% of the 27 lots raised £620,000 on a day “when the room never really got going”.
Lambert said that although there had been lots of interest prior to the sale and the room had been full, there were too many people “just observing”.
“A couple of reserve hikes on the day also didn’t help,” he added.
Nevertheless, nine out of 10 Lloyds Bank properties sold and an offer had been received on the final one.
Hartnell Taylor Cook’s next sale, on June 23, features 100 lots offered by Rail Property.
