Green Property is starting to expand its 185,800 sq m (2m sq ft) industrial estate at Treforest, South Wales, on a speculative and D&B basis following the purchase of the adjoining Riverside Estate for £2m.
At Treforest, near Cardiff, the developer has put in a planning application for 4,180 sq m (45,000 sq ft) of industrial space. It is building one 2,322 sq m (25,000 sq ft) shed speculatively and three smaller units on a D&B basis.
Alan Harris, director responsible for asset management at Green, said that he was considering further development on a similar scale and more land acquisitions in the area.
Green paid £2m to Northfleet for the adjacent 21,831sq m (235,000 sq ft) Riverside Industrial Estate which includes Thorn EMI amongst its tenants.
As a whole, Treforest and Riverside are producing £2.5m on 185,800 sq m (2m sq ft) of accommodation.
