Investors keen on the property portfolio of Wolverhampton & Dudley are thought be behind the 1.3% advance in the Midland pub operator’s shares to a record high of £15.27 on Wednesday.
The company’s shares have risen 28% over the past year. Stakebuilding rumours played a part in the 4.7% gain in the share price of Workspace Group. On Tuesday, a mystery buyer purchased 4m shares, or 2.3% of the niche property group, through Merrill Lynch.
