Speedy Hire nips into Newport

Speedy-Hire-1Speedy Hire has taken a 170,000 ft, 12.5-acre site in South Wales, signing a 10-year lease for the Associated British Ports-owned property.

The tools, equipment and plant hire services company intends to convert the site in Newport into a multi-service centre to serve South Wales and the South West of England.

Rupert Lowe, associate director at Dunlop Heywood, which acted for Speedy Hire, said: “This is a very sizeable unit which ticked all the boxes for Speedy. It was sourced off-market from Sims, which needed a speedy solution, so all three parties have benefitted from a quick and seamless transition of the site.”

Sims was represented by David Davies; DTZ acted for ABP.
