Tesco’s regeneration arm, Spenhill, has submitted a planning application to rejuvenate land formerly owned by the Ministry of Defence in Tolworth, Surrey.
Spenhill proposes to build a 35,000 sq ft store along with a 99-bedroom hotel, a gym and up to 269 new homes. The project will include properties ranging from one to four bedrooms, a proportion of which will be affordable housing.
Tesco is also developing three residential-led schemes at Streatham SW16 Woolwich SE18 and Highams Park E4, totalling more than 1,000 new homes.
