Steamship Mutual has brought to market a six-storey office block in Spitalfields, E1.
The insurance management services firm, which is the owner and occupier of the building, has instructed Knight Frank to market the freehold for 39 Bell Lane.
The agency is looking for offers in excess of £11m. This reflects a low capital value of £446 per sq ft.
The building is located between Spitalfields Market and Liverpool Street station and comprises 24,689 sq ft of office space.
A refurbishment and repositioning feasibility study of the site has been undertaken by architectural firm Apt on what is required to upgrade and extend the office by up to two storeys.
The planning adviser explored alternative uses including hotel, serviced apartments, residential – including co-living – and PBSA. All changes of use were deemed feasible.
