Scottish housebuilder Springfield Properties has submitted a detailed planning application to build 204 affordable homes on a derelict site Dalmarnock, Glasgow.
It plans to regenerate the 2.3 hectare (5.7 acre) site, which is next to the train station, with two- and three-bedroom homes in four, five and six-storey apartment blocks alongside a shop.
The site sits within the Clyde Gateway Regeneration programme, the initiative by Glasgow City Council, South Lanarkshire Council and Scottish Enterprise to regenerate 840 hectares of Glasgow’s East End by 2028.
Tom Leggeat, group partnership managing director at Springfield, said: “The submission of this planning application represents a significant step forward in delivering much-needed affordable housing in the east end of Glasgow, which is undergoing significant regeneration.”
