Metabrasive has chosen Springvale Business & Industrial Park, Bilston, West Midlands, for its new £16m steel abrasives production plant.
The French-owned manufacturer has bought the freehold on 6.67 ha (16.5 acre) for an undisclosed sum from Blue Lamp Business Park, a joint venture between Tarmac and Hojgaard & Schultz. It secured a £700,000 DTI grant towards the 7,500 sq m (80,000 sq ft) factory.
This will be the second production plant at Springvale. Sharps Bedroom Furniture will start operating a 13,935 sq m (150,000 sq ft) production unit on the park in June.
Joint agents for Springvale are King Sturge and Knight Welch Bryce.
