Shaftesbury has lodged plans with Westminster city council for a major revamp of a retail parade bordering Chinatown on Charing Cross Road, WC2.
The Buckley Gray Yeoman-designed scheme includes the refurbishment of the Newport Sandringham complex to provide 32,000 sq ft across five shops on the Charing Cross colonnade and 13,500 sq ft of restaurants fronting Newport Place.
The complex, built in 1985, includes six floors of residential above the ground-floor shops. Rolfe Judd is advising on planning.
