Estates Gazette can reveal the first look at Premier League football club Tottenham Hotspur’s revised plans for the redevelopment of its White Hart Lane stadium, N17.
The new plans include an extra 209,000 sq ft of space, including a college, health club and club offices. The number of homes on the scheme will also be increased from 200 to 285 homes.
Speaking at a public consultation on the plans last night, Paul Phillips, project director at Spurs, said the club was keen to avoid developing social housing on the site and believed that all 285 homes should be on the open market.
The revisions to the plans see the scrapping of a hotel. Phillips admitted that only three-star hotels would be attracted to the scheme, which did not fit with the club’s ambitions.
A decision on the scheme is expected on 13 February.
