Squared Circle Developments has been given the go-ahead for a 583-bedroom hotel close to Heathrow airport.
The £60m Heathrow Hotel, designed by Michael Drain Architects, will be built on a site opposite Hatton Cross tube station.
The land was previously occupied by airline catering company Gate Gourmet.
Completion of the development is expected in summer 2013.
Talks have begun with a number of potential hotel operators.
