St Francis seeks Sugar partners

Developer St Francis Group is looking for development partners for the redevelopment of the former British Sugar factory site in Kidderminster, Worcestershire.

Plans for the major transformation of the 74-acre site into a mixed-use development, including residential, leisure and retail, won outline consent earlier this month.

St Francis Group, with advisers Harris Lamb and Colliers International, are now looking to source potential development partners to bring the scheme forward.

Renamed Silverwoods, the project is considered to be one of the largest opportunities in the region for more than 25 years.

Phase one plans include 200 homes, ancillary retail, a pub, a care home and a medical centre, as well as a new railway halt along the Severn Valley route.

The redevelopment is part of the South Kidderminster Enterprise Park and has been granted funding from the government’s Growing Places fund.
