St George has been selected as preferred developer for the 400,000 sq ft Dickens Yard town centre scheme in Ealing, one of west London’s largest development opportunities.
Last night Ealing council ratified Berkeley’s London arm as its preferred partner ahead of shortlisted rivals Centros Miller, Barratt West London and Helical Bar in association with Exemplar Properties.
St George’s John Thompson & Partners-designed proposals comprise:
- 530 homes
- 103,335 sq ft of shops
- a 13,325 sq ft creche, healthcare and fitness facilities, and three public squares
- 500 parking spaces
Construction is expected to start in autumn 2007.
