St George has submitted fresh plans for a troubled riverside site in Putney, south west London.
The developer has already seen two proposals to redevelop the former ICL tower rejected: the latest scheme was thrown out by environment secretary John Prescott following a public inquiry last year.
The inspector’s report said that St George’s proposals would result in an over-intensive development of the site, which overlooks the nearby listed St Mary’s church.
St George’s new scheme, which is intended to address the inspector’s criticism, includes 86 flats and 3,700 sq m (39,827 sq ft) of commercial floorspace as well as a public square.
